Government Partners

The support of the municipal authorities was crucial for the success of the campaign. We began building relationships with the Executive Health Office (EHO) and the Insecticide Office (IO) of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Rapport was established with the ward-level pest control officers in participating wards. The cooperation of the pest control departments was vital in ensuring that complaints were resolved and officer interactions with various cohorts took place in a timely manner. During the second phase of the program, similar relationship-building efforts were also made with the vector-control officials in Kalwa from the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) and Nalasopara from the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC), which ensured successful implementation of the pilot in these areas.
Our other government partners include the National Service Scheme (NSS), whose wide network of community-driven and civic minded youth volunteers aided in successful execution of the program activities.

Media Partners

In order to create engaging social media content to spread awareness about vector-borne disease prevention, we partnered with Little Tricks Media, a digital media agency. They also helped us run advertisements for the Mumbai Against Dengue App. Civic Studios, who specialise in creating engaging content pop-culture based content for civic awareness, were our other media partner in helping us further spread word of the app among citizens in Mumbai.
